Will the OMR Sheet for Semester I and II be supplied by the H.S. Council ?
OMR will have to be supplied by the Institute itself for Semester I Examination. No OMR will be required in Semester II. Conventional Blank Answer Scripts will be used and it will be supplied by concerned institution .
Will the OMR Sheets be filled-up in HB Pencil or pen ?
Detailed guidelines will be given on the Registration Certificate/ Admit Card or separate before commencement of examination on ‘guidelines to use OMR Sheets’ .
Whether the use of OMR in Sem-I is mandatory ?
No, school can use the usual answer script if convenient. However, use of OMR IN Sem-I is advised from the end of Council.
Where from Sample of OMR will be obtained ?
It will be uploaded in the Council website.
Which examination will be based on MCQ ?
All Semester I and Semester III including Special Supplementary Examination will be based on MCQ.
Where will the Practical Examination of class XII conducted ?
At own institute. QP and BAS will be supplied by the Council.
When will be the Projects / Practical Examination be conducted ?
Before conducting the Semester II Examination in case of Class XI and before conducting the Semester IV Examination in case of Class XII .
How and When to submit the marks of Sem- I , Sem-II and Practical/ Project marks of class XI ?
At the end of Sem-II , the marks of Sem- I , Sem-II , Practical and Projects of class XI have to be submitted through Council on like portal.
If anyone wants to change the stream after Semester- I & II, can admission or registration be done in a new way?
If a student fails in both Semester I and II , he/she can change subjects with the same registration number.
For those who have failed in 2024 class XI , which system to be followed ?
The students who have failed in Class XI in 2024 will follow the Semester System. They will have to surrender old registration and register afresh in 2024-2025 AY.
What will be the attendance criteria for the students of Physical Education , who stay at SAI and do not attend classes in school physically on regular basis ?
They will have to obtain a certificate from SAI and submit at the Institution.
Will medical certificate have to be submitted in case of prolonged absence?
Yes, if the reason is illness.
If a Candidate fails in optional Elective subject but passed in other subjects in Sem III or IV whether the candidate will get the clearance to appear the optional Elective subject in Sem III or IV ?
Yes, the candidate through passed in general however he/she will get the clearance to appear the optional Elective subject .
How many years, a student will get the clearance to admit in Sem-I after passing X board examination ?
03 years including the year of passing (2024-2025) .
How many years, a student will get to pass H.S.Course ?
07 years from the year of registration.
Who will conduct the examination of Sem I & II ?
The concerned school will conduct the examination of Sem-I & Sem-II in the school itself.
Who will conduct the examination of Sem III & IV ?
Council will conduct examination of Semester III & IV as per Centre-Venue Concept.
When will the examination of Semester I , II , III & IV be conducted ?
Normally examination will be held as per the following schedule:
Semester I & III : September
Semester II & IV : March
If a student fails in all subjects in Semester-I and Semester II, will he/she be allowed in Semester- III and Semester IV ?
No. A student must pass Semester-I and Semester II separately (both in theory and project/practical independently) for promotion to Semester III.
What will be the case if the same student fails in Math in Semester IV, will he/she be declared passed? If yes, will he/she would be allowed for Supplementary Examination in Math in Semester-IV of next year ?
Yes , the student will be declared “Pass” with the benefit of Rule 9/2 or interchange facility if passed in the remaining subjects including theory and project/practical separately. Yes, the student will be allowed to appear for Math in the Semester IV of next AY if he/she surrenders the result and do not take admission into any UG course.
Will passing in 5 Subjects be enough or is it mandatory to pass in all the 6 subjects?
Passing in five subjects is mandatory – two language subjects and any three elective subjects both in theory and project/practical independently.
# In case, a student has a vocational subject as optional subject, he/she has to pass in two language subjects and three compulsory elective subjects both in theory and project/ practical independently.
Suppose a student is having subject combination of Language – BNGA, ENGB; Compulsory Elective – PHYS, CHEM, MATH, and Optional- BIOS. He/she passes in all subjects (BNGA, ENGB, PHYS,CHEM and BIOS) , but fails in MATH in Semester-II. Is he/she eligible to enter Semester III ? If yes, will he/she be allowed to study Math in Semester III ?
Yes, the student will be promoted to Semester III with the benefit of Rule 9/2 or Interchange.
Yes, he/she will be allowed to study Math in Semester III .
If a student is fails in any subject in Semester-III and unable to pass in Special Supplementary Examination during Semester IV, then when will the student appear for the next Supplementary Examination ?
During Semester III Examination of the next AY.
Will there be any particular routine for that Special Supplementary Examination of Semester I and Semester III ?
All schedules of examination will be prepared and notified by the Council in the Council’s website.
If a candidate has passed in all subjects but wish to improve his result, what to do?
As of now the Council has not taken any decision regarding Improvement Test.
Calculator will be permitted in Accountancy and other Commerce subjects ?
No calculator will be allowed during any examination under semester systems of WBCHSE.
Will calculators be permitted in Practical Examination ?
No
How will the Vocational Subjects be considered for passing in H.S. Examination ?
Vocational Subjects are allowed to be opted only as Optional Subject but are not allowed to hav benefit of Rule 9/2 or inter change facility in case a student fail in a compulsory elective. Hence passing in Vocational Subject is not mandatory.
Are six subjects mandatory? Or five subjects can be taken?
Two language subjects , any three elective subjects are mandatory. 6th subject is optional.
What is pass criteria ? Is it best of five or six?
A student has to secure 30 per centum of marks in five subjects mandatorily – two language subjects and any three elective subjects both in theory and project/practical independently.It is best of five.
Will Rule 9/1 and 9/2 be continued or not?
Yes. Benefit 9/1 and 9/2 will be provided in Semester II of class XI and Semester IV of class XII.
